　　上个星期的一个早晨，张老师先跟我们说，今天我们班要来一个新同学，他来自巴西，是讲英语的，他的名字叫威廉。我们听了都很惊讶，都想快点看到他。不一会儿，新同学就进来了，只见他大大的眼睛，非常有神。张老师又说，威廉哥哥是来学普通话的，我真希望他能快点学会普通话，跟我们一起交谈，说说巴西有趣的故事。

　　One morning last week, Mr. Zhang first told us that there will be a new classmate in our class today. He is from Brazil and speaks English. His name is William. We were all surprised and wanted to see him soon. After a while, the new student came in. He had big eyes and was very active. Mr. Zhang said that brother William is here to learn Mandarin. I wish he could learn Mandarin quickly, talk with us and tell us interesting stories about Brazil.

　　我还希望我能早点学会英语，和他一起交流。

　　I also hope I can learn English early and communicate with him.
